Teacher Cupcakes

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming soon!  Show your teachers how much you care by presenting them with these super cute school-themed cupcakes!  They are $24 per dozen, or $2 per cupcake.  I can do any flavor cake and any color frosting - just ask!  These are a combo of chocolate and yellow cupcakes, with vanilla buttercream frosting and fondant decorations.

Spongebob Squarepants Cake

I made this Spongebob cake for the cake walk at my kids' elementary school fun fair.  He was yellow cake (of course!) with vanilla buttercream frosting, decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant.  Not surprisingly, he was a big hit with the kids, and was one of the first cakes to be chosen!

Two Christening Cakes

I had the pleasure of making two cakes for baby girls who were being christened this past weekend.  The first one is in the shape of a cross.  It's coconut cake with coconut buttercream frosting, covered with homemade marshmallow fondant.  The decorations are also made with fondant and the tiny flowers are accented with edible sugar pearls.  The child's initials are written on the circle in the center.

The second is a design I've done before - a white ruffle cake with a fondant cross on top.  This one is marble cake with chocolate filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream.

Under the Sea Cake

This cake was so much fun to decorate!  It's two tiers of vanilla cake frosted with vanilla buttercream tinted blue.  The Ariel on top is a candle, but I made all of the sea creatures out of fondant, as well as the crown and the birthday girl's name.  Then I added some crushed graham cracker "sand" and piped on some green underwater "plants."  Such a fun birthday cake for an adorable little girl!  Happy Birthday, Allison!

Rock 'n' Roll Cupcakes

I made these for my friend's husband's 40th birthday.  Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and fondant decorations, with a little edible glitter thrown on to increase the glam factor. :)  Rock on!!!
