I had the pleasure of making two cakes for baby girls who were being christened this past weekend. The first one is in the shape of a cross. It's coconut cake with coconut buttercream frosting, covered with homemade marshmallow fondant. The decorations are also made with fondant and the tiny flowers are accented with edible sugar pearls. The child's initials are written on the circle in the center.
The second is a design I've done before - a white ruffle cake with a fondant cross on top. This one is marble cake with chocolate filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream.
